Yes, I am familiar with the False Memory Syndrome Foundation - a group that was disbanded in 2019 because their beliefs were never accepted into the American Psychological Association or Any Mainstream Psychological Diagnostic System as an actual diagnosis.
Btw, false memory syndrome was used to defend Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, and even Ted Bundy. Although false memories definitely occur, false memory syndrome and the infamous “mall study” has since been discredited when applying to cases of sexual abuse. Getting lost in a mall is not the same as getting molested.
Regarding you accusation to be more “careful,” I am always careful in my research. You will notice that my tone and writing style changes greatly when I am writing about sexual abuse vs. my 13 award winning books. I have stated the facts clearly and succinctly without editorializing.
But if I was to editorialize…I ere on the side of believing the victim and not the perpetrator, especially when there is two against one. Btw, there was no hypnosis in this case so I am not sure why you are even bringing that up.
