Yes, emotions carry over. Personally, I have been on far too many dates with men who are still painfully bitter about their last relationship while looking for a new one. Most try to hide it, but oh, it comes out.

And yes, a mature breakup is not easy. I have had a few of them. But I also have had my share of nasty ones which I regret.
