Yeah I know Greene’s book has its critics but I think they missed the intent of the book. He was trying to show how women and men throughout history had that “it” factor that has nothing to do with appearance. It’s kind of an edgier version of How To Win Friends.

I also recommend Les Grandes Horizontales by Virginia Rounding.
