Got a great idea for a story? Check to see if it has been done. The world does not need any more articles about your favorite books or morning routine. BUT you can have success with overdone subjects. You just have to come up with a very different angle.

Some of my most successful articles were about subjects no one in their right mind would write about - Victorian jobs, crazed baby sitters, male chastity belts...

I think people need to stop listening to the hoards and take some risks.
