The problem with this advice is many single people assume it means that they don't have to put any effort into dating and a relationship will just fall in their laps. So they fill their schedules with hobbies, work, friends, and other passions. Then they don't have the time or mental bandwidth to go on an actual date. Men can't stand the woman whose next availability is 2-3 weeks away. I know. I used to be one of those annoying people.
