For the last month, I have been watching videos from male influencers. Needless to say, I officially screwed my YouTube recommendations to write this article. My feed used to be filled with cheery odd-ball videos on the life of a medieval executioner or who did and didn’t have syphilis in the Victorian age. (Hint: everyone had syphilis.)
Now, my feed is only filled with misogynistic rants and lizard people conspiracies.
The videos were, um…creative.
One male influencer preached the “benefits of semen retention.” Apparently, men shouldn’t masturbate if they want to retain their “male energy.”
Incidentally, the Victorians believed the same and invented some scary anti-masturbation devices to deter men from charming their cobra. Have patience, gentleman. Every trend comes back around.
Others have some dubious medical advice. Apparently, eating raw testicles turns boys into men. (If they survive the parasites and other food-born bacteria.)
And then there is the endless dating advice from pickup artists on how to neg, isolate, confuse, and abuse women…to get…
