The ghosts of the Nazi party would like to weigh in on the free speech portion of this debate…

Weimar Germany experienced an unprecedented level of Democracy and free speech before Hitler was put in power. Notice I said, “put in power.” A conservative elite who touted the tenets of free speech orchestrated his rise. It amazes me that we refuse to learn from history.

Either way, I never understand defending hate speech as free speech. It’s like we don’t trust ourselves to know the difference between nazi rhetoric and your frisky uncle being a bit punchy on his political blog. There’s a BIG difference.

Hate speech leads to terrorism. The FBI should be responsible for cracking down on this shit, not Substack.

One Nazi is one too many in a country where guns outnumber people.
