Suzanne, Part of the problem is that researchers have found dating apps attract people with dark triad traits, especially narcissism. And the CEO of hinge profits off of those bad characters thereby somewhat biasing his view. We can’t assume the people who use dating apps behave in the same way as people who don’t use them. Unfortunately, dating app use has become so ubiquitous that I fear I may have to reevaluate that older article. It now feels like a contagion that cannot be contained.
