So I am measuring by erectile tissue only. I do not include the bulbopspongiosus muscle because if you included it then you would also have to include the PC muscles that assist the clitoris.
But you bring up a valid point. About an inch of the corpus spongiosum and corpus cavernosum (the erectile tissue for the penis) are underground. This is why when researchers measure the penis, they stretch it from its base. They are basically pulling on it to get most of the erectile tissue. They can’t do that with the clitoris.
So even if you lose about a half an inch in the penis stretching you still get approximately the same size.
And I bet you didn’t plan to discuss penis stretching this morning ;)
