"She's Not My Type:" Trump’s Defense is Not as Dumb as it Appears
Are unattractive women less likely to be believed in rape and sexual harassment cases? Let’s discuss…
"She's not my type."
Over the years, Trump has repeated this disgusting statement regarding allegations he sexually assaulted Jean Carroll in a Manhattan department store in the 1990s.
It's a defense he has used with other sexual allegations. In 2016, when a magazine writer accused Trump of sexual assault, he proclaimed, "She lies! Look at her, I don't think so."
And when another woman accused him of groping her on an airplane, Trump pulled out his usual trollish tricks and said, "Believe me — she would not be my first choice."
Who is Trump's first choice? Since twenty-seven women have accused him of sexual assault (so far), we can assume it won’t be the last time we hear the "too ugly to assault" defense.
But when it comes to Trump, evil always overplays its hand. When lawyers handed him a picture of Carroll and him at a party and asked him to identify who was in the picture, he mistook Carroll for his ex-wife, Marla Maples.
Apparently, Trump marries women that are not his type too.
