Sanni, It’s ok to be more than one thing. You can fight for feminism and equality and still want someone to come home. You can also celebrate both men and women but still see the weaknesses in both. And you can definitely point out the hypocrisies of the world and still believe in love.
I am a writer who gives women dating and sex advice. But then I sneak in topics on equality, history, science, feminism, and philosophy.
Sometimes you have to treat readers like golden retrievers - hide that bitter pill in a little peanut butter.
I enjoyed this piece. Your writing is subversive and fresh. But you are writing in an echo chamber. If you want to empower women, you have to get the men to listen too. Change isn't going to happen on one side.
And yes, that is going to require a little more peanut butter.
