ok I see your point but I have not seen feminist pushing a political agenda based on a "bumper sticker version" of indigenous cultures in universities.

Now, I have noticed many armchair historians using indigenous cultures to prove matriarchal societies existed. This to me is laughable. There were no matriarchal societies. Not at least by the anthropological definition.

If that is what you are saying, then yes I agree. (And now I brace myself for the attacks...)
