Oh wow. I am shocked. I am so sorry. It must feel devastating to work so hard on a passion project and have it yanked away. I don’t really understand why they would do this.

You guys have become my teachers and writer’s family over the last year. I remember the first letter I wrote to Dan a year ago begging to be added as a writer. I had no experience writing personal essays, and you guys gave me a chance.

All of you have made so many writers grow. And the readers…I initially found PSILY as a reader going through a horrible breakup.

There’s going to be a gaping hole on Medium now. I hope they understand that it’s the editors who make our craft polished enough to be worthy of reading. I for one, am going to have a serious quality control problem if I self-publish. (Kay is shaking her head yes right now…all the typos and bad narrative arcs she has fixed.) I am so sad.
