Men Dominate Book Publishing, But Men’s Rights Groups Claim Differently

Our book-buying patterns are alarming.

Why is publishing dominated by men?

It’s an argument I often hear among men’s activist groups — women are not in tune with men’s experiences. Feminists don’t listen to men. And they certainly don’t understand the struggles of men.

Father of the men’s rights movement, Warren Farrell, offers a more productive stance;

“We’re all in jeopardy if we don’t pay attention to the cries of pain and isolation and alienation that are happening among our sons.”

Agreed. Unfortunately, the men sowing discord don’t. Arguably, the loudest mouthpiece for misogynistic men is Paul Elam — the founder of A Voice for Men (AVFM).

Elam hosts fun activities on his site, such as October’s Bash a Violent Bitch Month.” (In its 5th year running.)

And although he abandoned both his biological children and his ex-wives have spoken openly about his abuse, he has become the face of paternal child custody rights, garnering hefty donations from his followers. Go figure.

Like most disenfranchised men, Mr. Elam wrote a self-published book on why women are destroying men. His elevator pitch for his self-indulgent drivel:
