Matias, thanks for your comment. You have every right not to like my voice as a writer. My punchy sardonicism is not going to appeal to everyone.

But to be clear, I am NOT resentful or hateful toward anyone for the way they look, ugly, or beautiful. Just because I tell a story about a beautiful but shallow woman does not mean I am claiming all beautiful people are shallow. That’s really an unfair leap. What I am trying to do is use “Gizelle” as a cautionary tale.

Sorry, but if I wrote a story about a beautiful person who had a perfect life, no one would give a fuck.
