Is The Dumbing Down of America Getting Worse?

Humanity has made bold strides by daring greatly. Our courageous ingenuity allowed us to walk on the moon, blow things up, tame viruses, and communicate worldwide in seconds.

But like any naughty Prometheus, our stolen fire has also sucked the oxygen out of common sense. And no other burning hellscape demonstrates how much intelligence has declined than TikTok.

TikTok is where critical thinking skills go to die.

The latest TikTok idiocy is cooking chicken in NyQuil to get that much-needed high. Apparently, neurotoxins, such as alcohol, are not enough for rambunctious social media darlings. Now, they need to season their chicken with a little acetaminophen, dextromethorphan, and doxylamine — OTC ingredients that can severely damage the lungs and liver.

My Grandma Ella used to say… “Give humans fire, and some will inevitably use it to flambe chicken in cough medicine.”

Actually, Grandma Ella never said that (but she would have if she was still alive). Her generation preferred bathtub gin and whisky denatured from wooden furniture legs.
