I think part of the problem is we are attracted to the familiar which is deeply rooted in our childhood. But if you are of a certain age (older millennial+) most of our parents stayed in their own lane and moms played the traditional role of housewife and caretaker. We are in a very weird transition phase with modern love. Just look how I angered people by saying the wage gap has closed for Gen Z. People don’t want to accept it.

And happy you found someone. Cherish each other. Dating is utter madness.
