I really didn’t want to write it. I am going to confess something that I am not proud of. When the metoo movement broke, friends shared their stories and asked if I had experienced harassment.

I lied right to their faces.

Your words made me realize why I couldn’t tell the truth. Sharing my stories was feeding the beast. And I feared that beast’s hunger would never be sated.

I am still not convinced the metoo movement helped men and women collectively. But I do think it helped individuals. So I finally shared my story for that individual.

As far as what can be done goes. I work with kids. I write for them. And I know if we build strong boys and girls, we won’t have a society of broken men and women. I am probably more hopeful than most. I see plenty of strength in that generation.
