I had this same exact convo with a friend a few days ago. OkCupid was the first dating site I was on about 5 years ago and I loved it. I loved it because people wrote little stories about themselves and yes, women really read them. It wasn't just about a picture and a swipe. Oh, and you could actually use a keyboard instead of typing with one finger on your phone.

Then tinder, bumble, and the whole swipe to get an immediate fix destroyed online dating. Now, no one but your grandma uses OkCupid. But I still have fond memories of that site.
