I found a lot of cross over in the research. One study looked at daughters and their relationships with their dads but ONLY studied adopted daughters. And yes, they found they modeled their future relationships after their relationships with their dads. It has such a strong influence. I don't want to imply that you can't overcome that influence, but the ingredients are there from the start.
