I couldn’t disagree more. After the last four years of dumpster-style leadership, we need more compassion and empathy. Not confrontational questions. We have had enough aggression.

There are two ways you can make people open up to you —smash them open with a blunt object or tease them open with a gentle caress. People grow and stop hiding with people they are comfortable with. Those are the people that challenge us to change. The people that demand us to change with their “straightforward” questions…those people get shut out.
