Greer preached that nudity was disempowering, but her thoughts did not frame 1960s America. No, The sexual revolution of the 1960s was a time when nudity became more widely accepted and celebrated. The dominant message in movies, television, politics, and advertising was that sex needed to be less repressive. Of course, these debates keep happening, but I would say the sexual revolution camp is winning if you are in a blue state and losing if you are in the Bible Belt. We are all viewing this one from our bubbles.
