Dave, I found your comment interesting because it seems I never have this problem with younger men. (Men under 35). Not sure if it is a generational thing but yes when I date men closer to my age (in their 40s)...they seem to constantly signal status symbols and it really is off putting.

And yes, I get your lifestyle comment. The suburbs are not for everyone. But in this particular incident..."Robert" also lived in the suburbs.
