Bunchen is an odd example to use. Her income has always been more than double Tom Brady's. Does that make him the gold digger? ;)

I don't think it is fair to say a successful and attractive business woman would "never" date a cashier. I also don't agree that dating pools shrink for women due to income. It shifts. You can only date men who are not intimidated by your success.

I do agree with you that socioeconomic factors are always at play. But the quote I used here implies that a man has to keep making more and more to keep up with a successful woman. It is not a competition.
