Regarding soft power - I am trying to pull an article together on this subject, but it is a bit over my head so I am still searching for experts. One thing I am certain of - the messaging on USAID is messed up. People love UNICEF and not USAID for a reason. The former is more of a humanitarian organization and doesn't rely on taxpayer money. The latter...well, we should stop gaslighting conservatives. Yes, USAID's main goal is not to feed starving children. It is soft power. I think if we were more honest about it, conservatives would be less mistrusting.
