Andy, I meant that his lack of effort indicated that he lacked passion for either me or a relationship. (I suspect both) There's no lift-off without a spark. Passions wane as a relationship becomes more secure and two people develop mature love. That's when you have to figure out how to keep the spark alive.

Either way, I am a romantic. (I have made my mistakes, but no relationship has ever died on the alter of boredom.) And while passion junkies can be trouble, I would never pair well with someone who trudges through life.
