No state solely accepts a driver's license as definitive proof of citizenship, as it does not inherently verify immigration status.
5 states - Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington will issue an Enhanced Driver's Licenses (EDLs) which can be considered as proof of citizenship as they can be used for crossing borders and are marked as such on the card. But this is not the same as a driver’s license.
Most voters do not possess an EDLs since they are optional and far more expensive than standard licenses.
